You can choose one monthly plan, 1-year plan, or 3-year plan. One thing to remember the longer the length of the subscription the less you’ll be charged. All of the fastest VPN subscriptions come with the same features. One subscription allows you to switch from server to server and also you can spread your subscription up to 15 devices.

There is a 15-day money-back guarantee if you want to test this VPN. But one thing to note is that the time interval is shorter than 30 days. 

FastestVPN accepts payments through credit cards or PayPal. If you want to purchase a subscription with Bitcoin or any other anonymous payment method, then you’re out of luck with FastestVPN.

FastestVPN has more than 250 servers in 40+ countries, which is considered the smallest VPN network I’ve tested.

FastestVPN claims that they’ve several servers in many countries. But when I counted the number of servers on its apps it was less as mentioned on their website. Many VPNs provide their users with false information, which builds less trust.  

The best server of FastestVPN is considered to be the US server which provides me with faster speeds during tests. However, the servers in Australia, Canada, and India seemed to be slow.

One of the finest things about FastestVPN is that its apps are lightweight and easy to set up. Their app designs are very attractive and easy to understand once you use them. The FastestVPN apps cover a large variety of platforms. You can get FastestVPN for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Linux.

FastestVPN windows clients are welcomed with a bright and cheerful interface that can do more than you expect. Your chosen server is clearly visible on the screen and can search for others by using the search feature. There are several options available for the client to choose protocols (OpenVPN, IKEv2, L2TP, PPTP). Many more options like enabling or disabling a kill switch, launching the user with windows, and auto-reconnect.

Their windows app has a Smart Connect option which automatically connects you to the nearest server available. To check how smart it is. However, we tried to connect from the UK location first it lets us connect to Spain, then Italy. Not smart enough, the service provider needs to improve this feature. 

FastestVPN mobile apps are completely different from windows. Their mobile apps offer their clients to choose limited protocols like (OpenVPN, IKEv2, TCP), a kill switch, and basic split tunneling which allows you to choose which app can access VPN and which can’t. If you’re wondering about having an automatic feature, unfortunately, it’s not available for mobile clients.   

Overall FastestVPN mobile apps cover a basic of VPN and have a simple interface that is easy to understand. Some of the users will be dissatisfied because it offers limited protocols. However, FastesVPN mobile apps are worth buying.

Previously when I accessed FastestVPN I experienced that speeds were so slow even I can’t access my browser with that speed. The speeds of the FastestVPN were quite opposite to its name. But now after one year, I was so amazed to see that they are paying attention to their feedback and improving their service performance.

While connected to VPN, I experienced great results. For most of the time, I was able to get 400 Mbps of speed on a 500 Mbps connection which is excellent. One thing to remember is that the speed of a VPN varies from server to server.

I tested FastestVPN with the OpenVPN protocol which is a standard VPN protocol. IKEv2 is also available on FastestVPN and if you use that protocol you might experience much faster speeds than the OpenVPN protocol.

➤ Kill Switch 

A  kill switch is commonly known as the Network lock feature which kills all your tabs if your connection disconnects. A kill switch acts as a guard which protects your data or information from being exposed to your Internet Service Provider.

All of the FastestVPN apps come with a Kill switch which kills all of your internet activity when you’re disconnected for a while. A kill switch on my MacOS was enabled automatically which is excellent. However, there was no option available to disconnect your kill switch. No one will want to disable this useful feature.

However, I faced one problem whenever I tried to enable a kill switch on my Android phone, I got a message saying that this feature isn’t available for IKEv2. This implies that you can only use the kill switch on android while using TCP or UDP protocols, which is not good for android clients. I hope FastestVPN will concentrate on this issue and will fix it.

FastestVPN can help you to unblock geo-blocked content and let you watch online streams. For this purpose, we tested the fastest VPN with Netflix US and found that it unblocks Netflix libraries very well.

FastestVPN also unblocks Netflix UK, Canada, HBO, and Disney+. I also tried to unblock Netflix US by trying different servers located in the US, however, it was time-consuming but I found a server that let me watch my favorite show on Netflix.

I’d not recommend FastestVPN for streaming because it failed to unblock streaming sites including Amazon Prime, Hulu, BBC iplayer, etc. If you’re looking for a VPN that could unblock all of the streaming sites. I’d recommend you look for NordVPN and ExpressVPN.

All of the FastestVPN servers are P2P optimized. You can torrent files easily through its servers but the FastestVPN website says not to torrent files on servers like Australia, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, and South Korea.

Its no-log policy and privacy-friendly headquarters make FastestVPN an excellent VPN for torrenting files in privacy.

However, you can’t have a smooth torrenting experience across its network. While connected to the US server I was able to torrent files easily. However, when connected to the Australian server I was unable to torrent files because of its slow speeds.

I don’t like talking to bots all the time. I’d prefer customer support from a real human. In that regard, FastestVPN is with me. FastestVPN offers their clients 24/7 live chat support from real humans, not from bots. When I tested their 24/7 live chat I was amazed to have such great results. The support team was very quick and didn’t take a minute to make a reply. It provides me with helpful solutions regarding how to set up FastestVPN.

However, when I started questions regarding FastestVPN features, then the answer took time and sometimes failed to answer which means that FastestVPN didn’t have an expert in their team.

This is excellent that FastestVPN follows a strict no-log policy. However, While other VPNs available in the market do the same, some popular VPNs like (Tunnel Bear, NordVPN, and more) put themselves to audit, which ensures that they are doing what they promise. While this is a beneficial step and I hope other VPN service providers including FastestVPN will do the same in the future.
